FROM GUTTED TO REBUILT. WE FINISH THE JOB.
Most restoration companies stop at demolition. As licensed contractors, we take your home all the way back to pre-loss condition — drywall, flooring, cabinets, paint, and everything in between.

WHAT IS RESTORATION — AND WHY YOUR CONTRACTOR LICENSE MATTERS
Restoration is the rebuild phase that follows mitigation. Once the water is gone, the smoke is cleared, and the structure is dry, someone has to put it back together. That's where most restoration companies quietly hand you off to a third-party contractor — adding cost, delays, and another stranger in your home.
SCCR holds an active California Contractor's License (#1009422), which means we handle the entire scope in-house. One company, one point of contact, one project from start to finish.

THE PROBLEM WITH TWO-COMPANY RESTORATION
🔄 Handoff Delays When your restoration company and rebuild contractor are different companies, you wait. Scheduling gaps and miscommunication can add weeks to your project.
💸 Markup on Markup A restoration company that subcontracts reconstruction adds a layer of profit on top of the builder's price. You — or your insurance — pays for it.
📋 Scope Disputes When two companies are responsible for your loss, each one can point to the other when something is missed. With SCCR, there's one party responsible for the entire job.
One licensed team.
One project.

OUR RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS
SCOPE & PLANNING
Once mitigation is complete, we walk the property with you and document the full rebuild scope. We work from the insurance estimate and flag anything that needs to be supplemented.
INSURANCE COORDINATION
We submit the rebuild scope to your adjuster, negotiate any line items that were missed or undervalued, and get the work authorized before swinging a hammer.
REBUILD BEGINS
Our in-house crew handles framing, drywall, flooring, painting, and finish work. No subcontractors rotating through your home — the same team from day one.
FINAL WALKTHROUGH
We don't call it done until you do. We walk the completed project with you and address anything that isn't right before we close out the job.
WE FIGHT FOR A FAIR REBUILD SCOPE
Insurance companies write estimates using software that doesn't always capture the full cost of your loss. Line items get missed, material costs come in low, and labor rates don't reflect your local market.
Because we've handled hundreds of claims in Southern California, we know where adjusters cut corners — and how to push back professionally. We supplement your claim where warranted and make sure the rebuild scope reflects the actual work your home needs.
✔ We review and respond to the insurance estimate before work begins
✔ We supplement underpaid or missed line items
✔ Direct billing to your carrier — no out-of-pocket surprises
✔ We work with all major insurance carriers
RESTORATION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
It depends on the scope. A single-room water damage rebuild typically takes 1–3 weeks. A full kitchen or multi-room fire loss can take 6–12 weeks. We give you a timeline before work begins and keep you updated throughout.
-
No. California law gives you the right to choose your own licensed contractor. Insurance company "preferred vendors" are selected for their cost to the carrier — not necessarily the quality of work or your best interest.
-
This is common. We review the carrier's estimate and submit a supplement for any line items that are missing, underpriced, or don't meet current material and labor costs in your area. Most of our jobs involve at least one round of supplementing.
-
Yes. Insurance covers like-for-like replacement. If you want to upgrade materials — flooring, cabinets, countertops — you pay the difference between the insurance allowance and the upgraded cost. Many homeowners take this opportunity to improve what was there before.
-
Matching existing textures, paint, and finishes is one of the harder parts of restoration work — and something franchise operations often do poorly. Our crews are experienced in blending repairs so the finished product looks seamless, not patched.
-
Yes. When the scope of work requires a permit, we pull it and coordinate inspections. This protects you legally and ensures the work meets current building code.
